Head of Marketing

ABOUT CLOVERLY

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reporting to the CEO, this person will be Cloverly’s hands-on leader to initially build and optimize the Marketing function. This person will roll their sleeves up while having support from an agency budget and/or small team. There is room for this to grow into a much larger role.
  • This person’s main goal is to generate revenue --- primarily through acquiring new customers, secondarily through expanding existing customers
  • Focus on enterprise and midmarket customers
  • This person will have exceptional skill in most of the following areas while outsourcing or delegating the other areas as needed:
    • Demand generation
    • Building and nurturing a robust target list
    • Account based marketing, email, SEO, PR, digital ads, social, etc.
    • Sales enablement: messaging, collateral, tools, hubspot, etc
    • Optimize customer acquisition scale and profitability
    • Learn the market, provide critical insights to the team, and substantively shape company strategy
    • Collaborate closely with the CEO as well as Sales, Product, Customer Success, Cloverly customers, and more

Head of Engineering

As Head of Engineering at Cloverly, you will help scale up the team from 5 engineers to many multiples of that over the coming months and years.  We are in an extremely fast growing market (Climate Tech), with tough technical problems to solve.  We have exceptional customer traction to-date, and enormous opportunity ahead of us.  You won’t be bored.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Scale up a diverse and inclusive team of engineers in a high growth startup, while setting a high bar - technical mentorship, a heart for service, and creating a culture of innovation are key to success here!
  • Mentor team and help them grow professionally - define and nurture a culture of excellence
  • Map out process and advocate for the security, quality, and performance of the product
  • Instill confidence on customer calls re: our technology, security, performance, processes and more
  • Be a strong partner to Product in driving a roadmap that achieves top business priorities, while balancing speed and quality 
  • While we don’t expect the head of engineering to submit code (although it’s fine if they do) or be the chief architect, we do expect them to understand our stack and engineering processes thoroughly.

MUST HAVE

  • Experience leading a team of at least 20 engineers across products and across eng disciplines (Front End, Back End, DevOps, QA, etc) in a modern SaaS company
  • Experience being customer-facing for enterprise customers - you can excite customers about our vision and strength of team
  • Hands-on, in the weeds experience solving tough technical problems
  • Modern scaling experience - taking a SaaS product from seed stage through hypergrowth (and the scaling problems that come with that) will be essential to your success

Responsibilities

This person will help build the best marketplace in the world for high quality carbon removals and offsets. Responsibilities include:

  • Build a best-in-class ecosystem of marketplace partners across technology-based, nature-based, and clean power-based solutions
    • Understand the landscape of these solutions and have your pulse on the market
    • Refine partner vetting criteria
    • Source, vet, and sign new partners
    • Form and negotiate creative, optimized partnership terms and structures
    • Onboard, lead, and manage partner relationships
  • Generate and support demand for your partners
    • Be the in-house expert in your partners’ domain (e.g., nature-based solutions)
    • Partner with the Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to educate and pitch customers on these solutions
  • Collaborate with Director of Sustainability across these efforts
  • Work closely with CEO, sales, marketing, customer success, and product
  • Build and evolve scalable supply-side processes
  • Manage and optimize inventory levels in coordination with demand-side development

Sr. Full Stack Developer

Cloverly is looking for an experienced full stack developer with deep Python familiarity to join our engineering team and help us help organizations go carbon neutral or carbon negative. In this role, you will be responsible for writing and testing scalable code, developing back-end components, and integrating user-facing elements. This is truly a full stack role, and while the primary emphasis is on Python and our back end stack, you should be familiar and comfortable in a full stack environment.

To be successful as a developer, you should possess in-depth knowledge of object-relational mapping, experience with server-side logic, and above-average knowledge of Python programming.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Writing scalable code using Python programming language.
  • Testing and debugging applications.
  • Developing back-end components.
  • Integrating user-facing elements using server-side logic.
  • Assessing and prioritizing client feature requests.

Front-End Developer

Cloverly is looking for a great JavaScript developer who is proficient with React.js. Your primary focus will be on developing user interface components and implementing them following well-known React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux). You will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is important.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Developing new user-facing features using React.js
  • Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
  • Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code
  • Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
    Skills
